Kennedy Moore, MPPA began organizing as an undergraduate student at Mizzou with Concerned Student 1950 in 2015 when the institution drew national attention for the administration’s reactive response to racial tensions. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with degrees in Communication and Black Studies in 2018. Following commencement, she utilized her skill as a natural communicator in the areas of public engagement and public relations.

In 2020, Kennedy became a Black Organizing Summer School (BOSS) fellow with Action St. Louis, and received the opportunity to work with ACLU Missouri as an organizing intern. As a fellow and intern, she organized efforts for the MO Ho Justice and Privacy Watch coalitions, and testified in opposition to spy plane surveillance legislation

In addition, Kennedy worked on Mayor Tishaura Jones’ campaign as a canvasser and knocked on 3,200 doors to help elect the first Black woman mayor of the city of St. Louis. Kennedy recently completed her Master of Public Policy Administration at the University of Missouri – St. Louis with an emphasis in Local Government Management, and is optimistic in building a statewide multi-racial, -cultural, and -generational coalition of reproductive freedom fighters as the Manager of Digital and Youth Organizing at Abortion Action MissouriIn her spare time, you can find Kennedy biking, checking out new tech gadgets, or looking for the next open mic night to show off her singing voice.
